You can modify individual pages in SharePoint Designer by customizing them and changing those styles, or you can create custom layouts if you’re using publishing features.

I did the same to hide the left panel
I just want to show the left panel in the documents only….
is there any solution?

Hi Marcus,
Depending on your version of SharePoint you will need to download either ‘Sharepoint Designer 2007′ or Sharepoint Designer 2010′.

This is really the only viable way of modifying SharePoint Framework

I was getting a empty space but able to resolve this problem by adding the code in master page
